BAROS OUT, MISTA IN?
Rafa Benitez will offer Valencia Milan Baros in exchange for either Vicente, Pablo Aimar or Mista, say various report, as the Liverpool boss looks to his former players to add some attacking guile to his current team. It is no secret that Valencia want to sign Baros, with coach Antonio Lopez saying: "Baros would bring force to our attack and make a great contribution to Valencia."
NOW BARCA WANT WALTER
Birmingham could lose out on signing on-loan striker Walter Pandiani to a permanent deal after Barcelona registered an interest in the Uruguayan. The Blues have already indicated that they won't be forced to pay over the odds for Pandiani, although with Barca's interest they will no doubt settle on the £3.5m that Deportivo La Coruna are asking.
POMPEY TURN TO WARNOCK
Portsmouth have turned to Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock as the man to replace Velimir Zajec, who will take up his role as director of football next season. According to the Daily Express Pompey chairman Milan Mandaric decided on Warnock after ruling out a move for Ronald Koeman.
